Common Amana Error Codes and their Descriptions
• Fridge Air Filter Indicator Light:
To comply with company standards, replace the air filter. After replacement, reset the air filter by holding the air filter button for 3 seconds. When the icons turn off, the system will reset and the air filter icon will turn blue. Once the light is blue, the “replace filter” text should disappear from the control panel.
• Fridge Door Alarm Light:
Ensure that the door is closing properly and that there are no obstructions preventing it from closing correctly.
• Fridge H2O Light:
Replace the water filter to meet the company and fridge standards. After replacement, press and hold the light and ice type button on your control panel for 3 seconds. Once done, the status light will turn off, and the system will reset.
• Fridge PO Error Code:
If the PO (or power outage) indicator is on, it means that the power supply to the fridge is off, and the freezer temperature has risen above -8°C. Check the breaker in your home or the outlet where the fridge is plugged in to ensure it is receiving proper power to continue operating.
• F0-0: No Errors:
The appliance complies with factory standards and has no known diagnosed errors.
• F1-1: The Oven Isn’t Cooking At The Right Temperature:
Check the temperature sensor and wiring. If the sensor is functioning properly, the control board needs to be replaced.
• F1-3: High Temperatures Detected During Cleaning:
Inspect the temperature sensor and appliance wiring. If the sensor is fine, the next step is to replace the main board.
• F1-5: Input For The Cancel Key Is Not Registering:
The control board for the unit needs to be replaced according to company standards.
• F1-8: A Key Has Shortened:
The control board for the unit needs to be replaced according to company standards.
• F1-A: Grounding Of The Circuit Board:
The control board for the unit needs to be replaced according to company standards.
• F1-C: Calibration Of Control Is Off:

If there is a circuit failure with the door switch input, check the wiring on the door switch. Loose wires can cause errors and improper functioning.
• F1-J: Circuit Failure For The Latch Switch Output:
Inspect the wiring on the latch switch for any stripping or loose wires.
• F3-1: There’s A Circuit Failure With The Oven Temperature Sensor:
Inspect the connectors and sensor for the oven temperature to ensure proper plugging and connection according to factory standards.
• F9-1/F9-2: The Auto Latch Won’t Lock/Unlock:
Inspect the latch switch for any faulty wiring. If everything appears normal, check the motor for any abnormalities.
